You learn things about addiction that you might not otherwise learn.
Loads of other addicts become your new friends (AKA people that can relate to you).
You can cry in public and folks actually expect this.
There’s always plenty of toilet paper.
You’ll probably get to do art.
You’ll lose weight (whether you intend to or not).
Through no fault of your own, you’ll begin to fall into a regular bedtime pattern.
Also through no fault of your own, your listening skills will develop due to the fact that everyone gets to take turns talking.
It doesn’t cost extra to do your laundry.
You won’t have to cook, clean the kitchen or take out the trash.
You get free time.
You can smoke cigarettes (if you’re a smoker), but double check to be sure – every center is different.
Counseling/therapy is included.
You don’t have to stay. 😀
