Are the leaves turning due to the Autumn season or are they dying from the thick smoke and ash that covered our city from the Oregon wildfires (I live in Eugene)? I can’t tell.
An umbrella of pristine blue sky hovers above and beyond the furthest leaves. It’s been nearly two weeks since I’ve seen it. The smoke and ash have been as thick as fudge and the recent thunderstorms have made the outdoors smell like a wet ashtray. But it’s clear outside, so WHO CARES?!
I would never appreciate such a beautiful evening if I was still drinking …
