Now What Do I Do?

It never ceases to amaze me how many times I come across posts from folks who don’t know how to spend their sober time. I used to drink all day every day – that’s how I spent my time before I quit drinking. And now that I’m sober, I can’t figure out how I got anything done. Ever.

These days, I feel fortunate to get all the things on my To Do List crossed off. I fill it up while I drink my coffee in the mornings and inevitably, I have one or two things left to do the next day. I always have things to do and I’m lucky enough to get to work from home.

The folks who do still work ~ they can’t even get to their To Do list until after they get home. I don’t understand how they can’t find anything to do.

They can clean, shop, watch TV, read, write, color, go outside and walk/take photographs, volunteer, finish an old project, start a new project, learn to cook, bake some cookies, buy a kitten … the list goes on.

I do or did all of those things. And I got two of these! …
