Time Spent with the BMOC

Yes, I’m talking about God. For whatever reason, the idea to resume my meditation practice has been noticeably present in my brain since yesterday. This idea to meditate popped up in there again this morning, so I’ve decided I better act on it. I think this might be considered Jennifer is listening to her intuition – or – something. I didn’t realize that intuition hits us in our brains, but okay.

I used to meditate before work and I’m going to write down here my morning routine – mostly in an effort to remember how I went about it.

I’d set my alarm for 6:00 (had to be at work at 8:00). I’d lay in bed for five minutes or so, groaning softly, before eventually rolling out. I’d let Rumi out, my sweet baby dog (see his photo on my “About” page) who is no longer with me, and start the coffee maker (I always prepared it the night before). Then I’d find my way into the bathroom, take care of business, and head on into to my 2nd unfinished bedroom. I’d turned it into my meditation space.

I’d neatly arranged a rug, a candle that rested on a small piece of driftwood, a bell to notify all the spirits and whatnot that I was ready, a pillow to sit on, and several tiny glasses of water – because spirits get thirsty too. And then I’d sit on the pillow in silence and either try not to think, or I’d think, or I’d even talk out loud about a dream, or the day in front of me, or any other though I found worthy. Keep in mind that I have never been nor am I now – a morning person. So whatever I shared was probably more yawn worthy than shareworthy.

What does all of this mean? 🙂 It means I get to go shopping!

I don’t have any of that stuff and I love to shop!
